About Murfreesboro Family Law
Laurie Young, Esq.
Laurie Young is licensed to practice in all courts in the State of Tennessee as well as the 6th Circuit Federal Court, and the United States Supreme Court. In her over 20 years of practice she has successfully resolved thousands of complex cases at both the local and appellate levels.
Laurie feels that she has been called to be a family law attorney. She recognizes that for most of her clients a family law matter is the most significant life changing event they have experienced thus far. She believes that every client should be treated with compassion and dignity regardless of the circumstances that brought about their legal issue. As a mother of three boys, she understands her clients desire to minimize the impact of litigation on children and family members.
Laurie is a native Tennessean. She graduated from Smyrna High School in 1987. She attended Middle Tennessee State University and attained her Bachelors Degree in Political Science. During this time, Laurie began her legal career as a legal assistant for Tom Nance and then Judge Larry Brandon. She graduated from Nashville School of Law with her Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1996. Upon her admission to the Tennessee Bar she practiced with Judge Brandon until she fell in love with a beautiful historic building on the square in Murfreesboro. After a complete restoration and beautification of the building she opened The Law Office of Laurie Y. Young.
